Hey Walmart--What About Me?

Am I the only one between Walmart's "sizes" of clothing? They have a large display of Hannah Montana clothes that although offer size 12, are clearly inappropriate for a 54 year old woman. I gave up belly tops and torn jeans quite a few years ago, along with cutesy shirts with glitter. My days of wearing teenage clothes were over when my teenagers left home, and rightly so.

Turn 180 degrees from Hannah Montana and you're into tent-size, elastic waist pants and tops. Rows and rows of them. Do all Walmart stores forget that there is a whole bunch of people that fall between Hannah Montana and 3X?

Eventually, I found ONE rack of jeans in sizes 8-14, and alas, one single pair of size 12, which I snatched before it was too late. The display of folded jeans on a wall were sizes 6-16, but there wasn't a size 12 among them.

I have an event Monday and I wanted a new outfit for it, thus the trip to Walmart.. If I hadn't have had to be there to wait for my prescriptions, I would have gone to Target and probably had better luck. I ended up buying black jeans, a black tank top and a whispy black top (from the Hannah Montana department) to wear over the tank top. My turquoise heels and jewelry will give me that fashion pizazz I'm looking for. Hopefully I won't end up with my picture in one of those horrible Walmart collages of people who just should have known better than to wear THAT to Walmart!
